Guadalajara.- The Autlán de Navarro-Unión de Tula and El Grullo-Ciudad Guzmán highways were blocked with at least three vehicles, after an armed group allegedly crossed them and set them on fire.

The events occurred shortly before dawn, although until now there have been no official reports from the state government or the General Strategic Security Coordination.

One of the incidents occurred at the El Corcovado Bridge, located on Federal Highway 80 (Autlán-Unión section), while another a few kilometers away, on the state highway that goes to El Grullo, near Puerta de Barro .

“The blockade of Federal Highway 80, at kilometer 138, on the El Corcovado bridge is reported with two vehicles, one for transporting personnel and one for transporting cargo, in addition to a truck loading sugarcane that blocks the state highway El Grullo-Ejutla, near the town of Puerta de Barro,” reported the El Grullo Police.

“It is recommended not to circulate in the area and report any unusual activity to 911, authorities of the three government orders mobilized throughout the area.”

Autlán has only published, on his Facebook account, an image of Civil Protection in which they ask the population not to circulate through any of the affected areas.

Inhabitants of the Costa Sur and Sierra de Amula regions, to which Autlán and El Grullo belong, respectively, have been warning about the events so that people avoid the area and remain alert.

“As a member of the Municipal Committee for Civil Protection of the municipality of Autlán, we were informed of the burning of two trucks,” shared Luis Eugenio Rivera, a professor at the UdeG.

“Therefore, for security reasons, it will be necessary not to go out on the road today until the corresponding authorities inform us that it can be safe to travel through our region.”
