Gonzalo Torres marked history in the Peruvian series with his remembered character from ‘Gonzalete’, the mischievous and amusing priest who appeared as a ghost of Pataclaun. Given this, many of the actors are remembered with their characters, but there was a time when someone was not very happy with that.
Gonzalo Torres was interviewed by Veronica Linares for his YouTube channel ‘La Linares’, where he talked about his current projects and Pataclaun could not be missing. The artist confessed that there was a time when he preferred to break away from his ‘Gonzalete’ character and that he did not even accept interviews to talk about him, but for an important reason.
“At some point I was in a fight (with Gonzalete) because I didn’t want to be pigeonholed with that. So, when they wanted to interview me through Gonzalete or Pataclaun, he said: no, just there, ”he said at the beginning.
After that, he explained that it was because he decided to start other paths such as his work in the cultural program ‘Just around the corner’. By showing a completely different format that exposed him as a driver, he looked for a way to leave the ‘band-aid’ behind.
“In a way, that’s okay because if you’re trying to do other things and you stay in one thing you’re never going to be able to get out of there and that happened to me when I was doing ‘A la vez de la esquina.’ I wanted not to stick to what I had done and since the program was done on the street, at the beginning everyone passed by and they said to me: Gonzalete. And I realized the success of ‘A la vuelta de la esquina’ when they suddenly passed by and said to me: ‘A la vuelta de la corner’ and that’s it”, commented the artist.
During the last week there has been a lot of talk about the payment of royalties from pataclaun to their actors. It all started when Latina announced the broadcast of the series for its 40th anniversary. There, johanna san michael made a public complaint implying that royalties had not been paid to him. “I have collected royalties for pataclaun through Inter Artis because I am associated. I don’t know if it’s complete or not, I don’t know. That is a matter of further analysis, but it would be untrue to say that I have not collected any royalties. Yes, I have done it and through Inter Artis, if it is complete or incomplete… it is a matter of analyzing ”, he mentioned to this medium.
