Resident Evil 4 Remake took advantage of Sony’s latest State of Play to remind us of its release date and give us some big surprises.

Long-awaited, Resident Evil 4 Remake is one of the very big video game releases of March 2023 and intends to put the small dishes in the big ones to impress us, but not only.
Who says remake says nostalgia, but also novelty. The cult game of 2005 will therefore return with a complete overhaul of its graphics, its mechanics, but also of its universe. Capcom has taught us in particular that a good number of novelties were expected such as new enemies, new places or even completely new sequences.

Resident Evil 4 Remake shows up again!

These additions will rub shoulders with the iconic places of the original episode and the now cult creatures too, such as chainsaw crackers for example. Of course, the game’s outstanding characters will all be there, others new to this opus could also drop by to say hello and Ashley, the damsel in distress, will have the right to a total overhaul of her AI, a major change which will do a world of good! In addition, a VR mode is expected for the PSVR 2, moreover, development has already begun. Here too, it promises.

Resident Evil 4 Remake took advantage of tonight’s State of Play to reveal new gameplay sequences, but not only… At first, we can still notice the return of a whole bunch of villains, but also big news like the fight against Krauser which takes on a whole new dimension here. As a bonus, we can quickly glimpse some enticing game sequences such as a titanic boss fight against two giants or even a trip in the skin of Ashley plunged into the dark.

Two big surprises in addition!

On the other hand, unexpected announcement, although not surprising in the end, we grant you, the formalization of the great return of Mercenary mode.
A mode now known to all fans of the franchise, but which had historically been integrated into the license with Resident Evil 4 in 2005. If we have not yet seen gameplay sequences, we know automatically that the mode will offer us to face hordes of monsters in different maps inspired (even directly drawn) from the game by embodying different protagonists and license antagonists. It could also be that Wesker makes a small comeback in stride.

Another big announcement, the imminent arrival of a special demo which unfortunately still has no release date. However, it shouldn’t take too long since, as a reminder, Resident Evil 4 Remake is expected on PS5, Xbox Series and PC from March 21.
