Resident Evil 4 Remake could surprise us by bringing back one of the most emblematic characters of the license, but yet absent from the original game.

In a few weeks, Capcom will return with the long-awaited remake of Resident Evil 4, a cult episode that will have marked an entire generation and the entire license, in particular thanks to its gameplay and its camera, revolutionary for the time.
A striking game, therefore, which will have a lot to do not to disappoint fans and allow neophytes to discover one of the best episodes of the franchise.

Spoiler alert: if you’ve never done Resident Evil 4, this article may spoil the surprise for you.

A cult character back in Resident Evil 4 Remake?

With this in mind, Capcom has therefore promised not to distort its work and will even go so far as to resume one of the least appreciated chapters of the game, trying to make it attractive, and even more. However, several things should be modified, in particular its gameplay which will be much more provided and modernized, as we could see during our preview, but also in its design since entire portions of the game will be completely redesigned. But obviously, that’s not all since we learn today that a character, yet absent from the main adventure, could well make a remarkable comeback.

We are talking here about the main antagonist of a large part of the license, Albert Wesker. The blonde with dark glasses should indeed be present in this remake if we are to believe the IMDB site which makes a complete listing of the main cast. We can indeed see in the list of actors that the voice actor Connor Fogarty, who will succeed DC Douglas, will lend his voice to the famous villain.

A surprise which is not really one since it had already been the subject of several rumors, but which raises many questions since Albert Wesker is not directly present in the original game. We find him especially playable in the mercenary mode where he splits a few punchlines here and there.

Will Wesker get a deep treatment in this remake? Will Mercenary Mode be back? Where should we expect completely new content? The questions remain open and for the moment, no information regarding his role has yet been shared. We will have to wait until the release of this Resident Evil 4 Remake next March 24 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, PS4 and Xbox One to get to the bottom of it.
