Released on October 18, A Plague Tale: Requiem has had some success with players. If the title offers a captivating story, it unfortunately still suffered from a few bugs, but also and above all from the lack of ray tracing options promised before the release. This is no longer the case since the studio has just rolled out a new update.

Ray tracing is available on PC!

It’s in a post on
Twitter
let Asobo break the news. In addition to fixing several bugs and issues that could block player progress on PC and consoles, the game finally supports ray tracing on PC.

It is precisely the shadows and ambient occlusion that are now managed by ray tracing, and should bring new depth to the visual rendering of the game.

If you want to enjoy the game at its best, the patch is available for free now.

Still no 60 FPS on Xbox Series X|S

Unfortunately, these options aren’t available on Xbox Series X|S, and they don’t appear to be planned for the future. A 60 FPS mode for consoles is obviously not in the works either, despite the many requests from players under each studio publication.

Along with Gotham Knights, Asobo’s title is one of the few games dedicated to next-gen consoles that doesn’t have a 60 FPS mode.

Remember also that A Plague Tale: Requiem is playable now on Xbox Series X|S and PC and is available in Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass.
