The Algerian Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitounicalled for the resumption of commercial activities just after the two days of Eid al-Fitr.

It was during a coordination meeting with the regional and wilaya directors of trade and export promotion that the Minister underlined the importance of ensuring a steady supply of basic materials and mass consumption services after the two days of Eid.

All for the purpose ofto avoid market disruption. The first head of the trade sector also warned offending traders strict penalties that await them in the event of non-compliance with these measures.

Just under 51,000 traders requisitioned for Eid

The Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion has also ensured the structuring the process of supplying citizens during the two days of Eid.

A maintenance program has been put in place to ensure the regular supply of basic materials and consumer services to citizens. on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr 2023.

According to the adviser in charge of information at the ministry, Amin Amara2,407 censorship officers were recruited to monitor the implementation of the program, to which 50,817 traders participated. Of these traders, 6,972 are bakers, 27,987 are general food, vegetable and fruit traders, and 15,787 are traders in miscellaneous sectors.

This initiative was implemented in accordance with the provisions of Law 06-13 amending and supplementing Law 08-04 relating to the conditions for the exercise of commercial activities.
