After three weeks at Torpet celebrity, Eli Kari Gjengedal (51) ended up in a duel against Aurora Gude (30).
The branch the two were to compete in was the “knife”, where they had to balance a knife on their hand with an outstretched arm. In the end, it was the weather anchor Gjengedal who had to pack his bags and return home.
But before she left the farm, she took care of one last thing at Torpet kendis.
Afraid of the motivation
Gjengedal and Ingeborg Myhre (47) have long been best friends and arrived in Torpet celebrity with a plan. They were to get Myhre as far as possible in the competition.
Because when she participated in Farmen kendis in 2017, she ended up losing a duel on purpose. Myhre has greatly regretted it ever since.
Gjengedal therefore had to make sure that Myhre got far in the competition, by going out in a duel himself. When she quit on Sunday, she feared for her best friend’s motivation.
– I knew that when I disappeared, her motivation would be lower. I was so afraid that she would give up and it would have been stupid because she has regretted so badly that she went home from the farm last time, says Gjengedal.
Took action
To keep her best friend’s motivation up, Gjengedal took action. She asked someone in the production to say hello from her every day that person visited Torpet and ask Myhre not to give up.

Myhre says that the gesture meant more to her than Gjengedal realizes.
– We had talked about our plan that I was going to the final and she was going to fight for me, but I was so sad when she pulled out. The sunshine disappeared and the days became much heavier, says Myhre to TV 2.
– The message was: “You’re the best, I’m rooting for you”. Every day I got to hear it, and often with a warm hug. I was equally moved and happy every day.

Big miss
However, it was not a given that this would go through, as there are strict rules on the set. When Gjengedal found out that Myhre had received the messages from her, she was moved.
– Then there was a small tear. I was so touched and happy.
Myhre says that this helped her motivation and well-being on the farm.
– Erik Anders and Aurora are professional reality contestants, who really play the game. I was just myself. Eli Kari and I can talk about absolutely everything and we have so much fun together, so missing her was great, she says.
– It is typical of Eli Kari to be so caring and kind. The first thing she did when she got out of Torpet was to call my children, my girlfriend and my mother, to tell them that I was fine, concludes Myhre.
