A 17-year-old youth, who already has a criminal record, is unemployed and homeless, attacked a gas station in Feldkirch today. However, he was arrested by the police shortly afterwards.

On Sunday, May 7, 2023, at 2:50 p.m., a masked 17-year-old youth armed with a cutter knife entered a gas station in Feldkirch. The convicted, unemployed and homeless youth threatened the 33-year-old saleswoman at the sales desk with a knife and asked her to put money in a bag.

The perpetrator fled the scene of the crime

The seller complied with the perpetrator’s demands due to the aggressive behavior and the gun being held up and handed him the cash. The youth then fled the scene on foot. Witnesses and a police patrol watched the fugitive, whereupon officers from the Feldkirch police station and the Feldkirch security guard took up the pursuit.

Perpetrators arrested at construction site

Thanks to the quick reaction and courageous action of the police, the perpetrator was caught at a nearby construction site and arrested.
