We know Roborock for the excellence of its robot vacuum cleaners offered at very attractive prices. But Roborock has also ventured into other fields, in particular that of vacuum cleaners and floor cleaners.
With its first model, the Dyad, the manufacturer was very convincing. Even if it was not perfect, this first attempt proved to be conclusive. In January 2023, Roborock launched the Dyad Pro, an evolved version of the Dyad integrating a more powerful suction system and benefiting from a new design for more efficient cleaning.
Offered at 479 euros (less than 450 euros at some distributors), is the Dyad Pro the perfect floor vacuum cleaner? To find out, we tested it daily for over a month. Here’s what we think.

Its design and conception
Who said an upright vacuum was ugly? The Dyad Pro takes up the lines of its predecessor, the Dyad. All dressed in white, it is 200 g lighter which brings its weight down to 4.8 kg all the same. A beautiful baby if we compare it to competing models, some of which are twice as light.
This overweight is explained by the presence of two tanks. The first, with a capacity of 900 ml, stores clear water. The second (770 ml) collects dirty water and dirt sucked up by the machine.
The Dyad Pro can be broken down into three parts: the handle with rounded curves to handle it (with three buttons to control the cleaning modes), the two water tanks along the handle and the cleaning head closing a reservoir for product maintenance as well as three cleaning rollers.
Like its predecessor, the Dyad Pro comes with a charging station but (small novelty) it can also remain in a vertical position independently. This is what Roborock calls the “park position”.
Roborock therefore does not make frills and offers a vacuum cleaner-floor cleaner with a neat design. Even if it remains massive, the Dyad Pro is nonetheless elegant and shines with its very beautiful finishes.
Its washing performance
For this Pro version, Roborock has not revolutionized its Dyad but has decked it out with some welcome new features. First of all, its suction power is increased to 17,000 Pa. Concretely, nothing resists him. And if some dirt holds up a bit, Max mode definitely puts an end to this revolt.
Roborock has especially redesigned the cleaning head. While Dyad Pro carries over the three-roller design of its predecessor, the head has been crafted in an “edge-to-edge” mould. Understand that the rollers stretch to the limit of the head in order to scrape dirt along baseboards and furniture. Roborock ensures that everything is cleaned up to 1 mm from the edges of a baseboard. We confirm the efficiency of the machine in this kind of situation.
The manufacturer indicates that the cleaning tank can only accommodate a homemade cleaning product and – well – very expensive. We took the risk of integrating our usual cleaning product. Surprise ! After more than a month of use, everything works perfectly both in terms of efficiency and maintenance. On the other hand, the advantage of the Roborock capsule is economic. With one capsule, the manufacturer promises 600 minutes of washing. We had to repot well before with our usual liquid.
In terms of performance, the Dyad Pro is very convincing. Almost no trace resists it, all types of surfaces combined (tiles, parquet, etc.). To better control autonomy, Roborock offers three cleaning modes: eco (for surface cleaning), auto (the most recommended on a daily basis) and max (to eradicate the most encrusted dirt). A drying mode also allows liquids spilled on the floor to be vacuumed up without the mop itself releasing any cleaning product. For more intuitive use, the Roborock has an LCD screen indicating the remaining battery life and the mode used.
Easy to handle, the Dyad Pro remains a bulky floor vacuum cleaner. If it is impressive most of the time (we can’t do without it), it still struggles to slip under the furniture, the fault of a head that is a little too thick. An axis of improvement for the next generation. But not enough to undermine our satisfaction after a month of use.
Its easy maintenance
In addition to cleaning itself effectively, the Dyad Pro is very easy to maintain. Its charging station also has a drying system. It therefore allows the rollers to be dried in order to avoid mold and bad odours.
You can still remove the rollers and clean them by hand. The handling is extremely simple. It is also the guy of the various tanks which are handled thanks to a system of clips.
Only the dirty water tank requires more handling since it breaks down into several parts.

Smelly and unhygienic dirty water tank

If we had only one complaint about the Dyad Pro, it would be its dirty water tank. Consisting of a debris filter, it is supposed to recover the solid elements so that they do not stagnate in the dirty water. In theory, this helps to limit damp smells.
As the filter lets everything pass, it loses all its interest. The Dyad Pro therefore gives off a lot of smells of humidity and stagnant water. if you don’t take the time to clean the dirty water tank after each cleaning. And even then, there is still a little smell during the next cleaning.
After each wash, we must therefore carry out a complete cleaning of the tray and the rollers if we do not want to have the impression of living in a swamp for a few hours. You can of course ventilate to evacuate odors. Easy in spring or summer, much less when it’s -5°C outside.
Very average autonomy

The longer the better. Roborock does not seem to follow this saying since his Dyad Pro does not hold up over time. While the manufacturer announces 43 minutes of cleaning, we have kept to the maximum 30 minutes in auto mode. We therefore assume that the 43 minutes announced by the manufacturer correspond to the eco mode, which consumes less energy but is also less efficient.
Between performance and duration, you will therefore have to choose. We suggest only using the max mode to unclog the toughest stains. Full cleaning in this mode takes no more than 15 minutes.
little enduring, the Dyad Pro is also very long in recovery. count a little more than 4 hours for him to regain all his energy. On a daily basis, we therefore get into the habit of cleaning the surface every day and occasionally a few targeted washes (overturned glass, puree from your baby who has stolen, overflowing cat litter, etc.). If you have a robot vacuum as a bonus, cleaning your home is almost a piece of cake.
a bit noisy

To say the Dyad Pro is noisy would be a lie. But to say that he is silent would also be false. With a sound level of around 60 decibels, Roborock’s floor vacuum cleaner is not the worst student in this area, some easily exceeding 70 decibels or more.
Let’s say he tries to be discreet, but his voice carries. We therefore avoid cleaning the floor at the most annoying times for the neighbors (before 10 a.m. and after 10 p.m.) or while the baby is taking a nap. Of course, the sound level varies according to the cleaning mode chosen : in eco mode, the suction remains discreet, in max mode you only hear it.
So you can’t make a phone call while cleaning your floor. But the noise is bearable. Sound attenuation therefore remains an area of improvement for Roborock.

Our opinion on the Roborock Dyad Pro
After a very convincing Dyad, Roborock confirms its know-how in the home appliance industry. While its robot vacuum cleaners stand out as benchmarks, the Dyad Pro is a different solution that is just as interesting on a daily basis.
Elegant and well designed, the floor vacuum cleaner is effective. If it is a bit noisy and requires systematic maintenance to avoid bad odors, it shines with its excellent value for money. For less than 500 euros, difficult to find such an attractive machine. In any case, we don’t do without it anymore.
