The Champions League is back after a few weeks without activity and it did so with spectacular matches. The quarterfinals started with an early final in Manchester City vs. Bayern Munich, although there was only one team on the pitch.

For its part, Inter beat a gray Benfica, which by the way faces a curse. Bela Guttmann led the team to success years ago and won two Champions Leagues; however, the strategist left some words that, according to what they say, distance Benfica from a new title.

But if there is something that has magic, it is the matches of the Champions League. So we moved to the Estadio da Luz and the Etihad Stadium to enjoy the first leg of the quarterfinals of (considered by many) the best tournament in the world.

In English territory, Manchester City vs. Bayern had two giants on their benches. Pep Guardiola and Thomas Tuchel faced each other again and the Citizens strategist won the game with great forcefulness. Of course, Rodri shone with a great goal.

All the details about the quarterfinal matches in the Champions League

Benfica 0-2 Inter Milan

Minute 1: What an atmosphere! Benfica and its fans are excited about a new international championship. It’s no secret that the investment in the team has consistently failed, as these goals have fallen short.

Therefore, the Champions League is a golden opportunity to hit the table with matches of the highest level.

Minute 51: Goal for Inter! The scoring was opened in Portugal and we already have goals in both Champions League games. Nicolò Barella puts the Milan team ahead with this header in the area. Benfica’s house fell silent and its players will have to row against the current for almost 40 minutes.

Minute 80: Penalty for Inter! The referee pointed to a handball by João Mário, so Romelu Lukaku planted himself in front of the ball and converted the maximum penalty.

Manchester City 3-0 Bayern Munich

Minute 10: Both teams try to get dangerously close to the rival goal during the first minutes of the game. However, the score remains goalless after one arrival by side.

Minute 21: Eerca Haaland! The Norwegian forward is breaking it in the Premier League and seeks to win his first Champions League being key in all City games. The ‘android’ already tested Yann Sommer with a shot, although it came out very weak.

Minute 27: ¡G-O-L-A-Z-O! Rodrigo Hernández opened the scoring at the Etihad Stadium and it couldn’t be any other way. The Spaniard took a spectacular shot and at the same time impossible for Sommer, who tried to dive for the ball but it will only remain in the souvenir photos.

Minute 33: Manchester City imposes conditions vs Bayern Munich! This duel does not disappoint as the highlight between the Champions League quarterfinal matches and after a mistake, Sommer recovered with a tremendous save to avoid the 2-0 loss.

Minute 49: Talk to each other! Neither the Bayern defense nor the City forwards gave one in this play. The ball bounced between each other without being able to clear it or send it to the back of the net. Of course, the premises are much more dangerous.

Minute 69: CITY GOAL! Finally the second goal of the night fell, Erling Haaland’s center for Bernardo Silva to finish off with all the space in the absence of the Bayern players.

Minute 76: Who else? Haaland goal! Manchester City is crushing Tuchel’s Bayern, who just does not react and it was 3-0. Not satisfied with being the figure of the Citizens in the Premier, the Norwegian scored 11 goals in 7 Champions League games with the English squad.
