This Wednesday, the front of a municipal center in the city of Rosario was shot by criminals, who after the attack left an intimidating message for leaders of drug trafficking gangs. The mayor of the city, Pablo Javkin, called on the provincial government to send him more police officers. Tonight, the Santa Fe Security Minister, Rubén Rimoldi, resigned.

The incident occurred at the Emilia Bertolé Southwest District Municipal Center, located in France at 4400 Rosario, where the attackers left a message for the drug leaders Esteban Alvarado and René Ungaro, both in prison.

After the attack, Mayor Javkin asked the now former Security Minister of Santa Fe, Rubén Rimoldi, to go and live in Rosario. “Let him come, in this district we pay for private and additional police security,” he claimed.

The attack was reported to 911, for which reason police personnel carried out the corresponding investigations and found the pods served; However, it was the neighbors who found the handwritten cardboard in which the mafia threat was.

“Esteban, René stop sending a letter and passing data to the prosecutors, button, kill innocents,” said the poster, referring to Esteban Alvarado and René Ungaro, both direct rivals of Los Monos in the territorial dispute.

In this context, the Rosario mayor wondered who deposited the message on the ground, since “several hours after having put together the bullet casings, a cardboard appears with a threat, measuring one hundred times what a bullet casing is.”

Javkin also questioned the police personnel, who should have been present when they shot at the compound, as a result of an agreement with the provincial government signed in December 2022.

“In this and several other districts, at the request of police authorities, we provide a physical place for a detachment to operate 24 hours a day, which is why one wonders why it doesn’t work, why they are not coming to fulfill the agreement ”, claimed Javkin, who added: “It is not that I doubt the police, it is that they are not there. How can it be that we have been receiving constant threats for seven days, and the police do not react to shootings against buildings where they themselves are?”

The security minister of Santa Fe, Rubén Rimoldi, was removed from his position this Wednesday in the midst of a string of attacks in the last month against unions, businesses and police stations in Rosario.
