Through a YouTube video, AMD has made it official availability and prices of the new AMD Ryzen 7000X3D, announced in early 2023 during CES in Las Vegas. The Ryzen 9 7950X3D and the Ryzen 9 7900X3D they will come next February 28th at the price respectively of $699 and $599, while the younger brother Ryzen 7 7800X3D will debut on the market April 6 at $449.

As with the previous generation, the major benefits of 3D V-Cache will be seen in the gaming, where according to AMD the new CPUs will be up to 24% faster than the current flagship Intel Core i9-13900K. Compared to the past, the Sunnyvale house has also maintained high boost frequencies, which also reach 5.7GHz, and a wider offer, which now includes 8, 12 or 16 core options.

Price Cores / Threads Base Clock / Boost (GHz) Caches (L2/L3) TDP / PBP / MTP
Ryzen 9 7950X3D $699 16/32 4.2 / 5.7 144MB (16+128) 120W / 162W
Ryzen 9 7900X3D $599 12/24 4.4 / 5.6 140MB (12+132) 120W / 162W
Ryzen 7 7800X3D $449 8 /16 4.2 / 5.0 104MB (8+96) 120W / 162W
Ryzen 7 5800X3D $358 8 /16 3.4 / 4.5 104MB (8+96) 105W

We remind you that during the presentation of CES 2023 AMD had shared some benchmarks of the new processors, stating how the Ryzen 9 7950X3D was 13% to 24% faster than Core i9-13900K, while the Ryzen 7 7800X3D was 21% to 30% faster than the Ryzen 7 5800X3D. The data shared by AMD also shows that the Ryzen 9 7950X3D is even better than the Core i9-13900K by 52% in some productivity tests, but we know that in these benchmarks 3D V-Cache has little impact and the differences are more related to the other CPU characteristics.

We recall that Intel has recently launched the Core i9-13900KS, a processor capable of reaching 6GHz in boost and which further improves gaming performance, but does not yet offer a technology such as 3D V-Cache or something capable of guaranteeing the same performance increases. We do not know the price for our country of the new Ryzen 7000X3D, but the figure in dollars is not exaggerated and bodes well for our market too; all that remains is to wait to have the processors in your hands to evaluate their performance and understand how much Intel will have to work to recover the title of “best gaming CPU”, which will almost certainly be stolen from the Ryzen 9 7950X3D.
