The result of new tests could deny what we saw previously: Samsung Galaxy S23 would go also great in multicore.

As you may remember, the news leaked by the leaker Ice Universe came from not many days ago: according to some tests carried out with Geekbench Galaxy S23 did not live up to expectations. More correctly, only part of the performance of Samsung’s next flagship device failed to reach “sufficiency”: the multicore part. The results obtained had in fact shown that on the single core side they were in line with other devices of the same level, but on the contrary, switching to multicore, none of the tests carried out went beyond 5000 points. New tests would disprove this.

Ice Universe had hinted that at the root of the problem there was a chip overheating problem: Galaxy S23 should in fact mount an overclocked version of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which however would not be supported by an adequate cooling system. However new tests carried out on Galaxy S23 Ultra, at least as reported by Android Headlines, they would have exceeded the phantom threshold, obtaining a score of 5179. This would indicate that there may not be any overheating issues.

He intervened to confirm this Ahmed Qwaiderknown leaker, who in a tweet said that Galaxy S23 will mount a more effective cooling system, capable of offering 1.6x better performance than seen on the Galaxy S22. Numbers that rise in the comparison between Galaxy S23 + and Galaxy S22 + (about 2.8 times better) and between Galaxy S23 Ultra and the counterpart of the Galaxy S22 series (where it reaches 2.3 times more).

Ahmed Qwaider also stated that thanks to the new improvements to the cooling system and the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, the battery life of Galaxy S23 models will increase and less heat will be generated. The leaker went so far as to state that overall the CPU performance they will see a 36% increase compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 used on the Galaxy S22 series, the graphics performance (GPU) will increase by 48% and the performance from the Neural Processing Unity (NPU) will increase by 60% thanks to a more effective use of artificial intelligence features.
