As the company Samsung has announced, they will bring temperature-based cycle monitoring to the Galaxy Watch 5 together with the company Natural Cycles. Natural Cycles offers advanced technologies and algorithms designed to track menstrual cycles in detail. Samsung now wants to bring those technologies to a smartwatch for the first time. Together with the high-quality sensors of the current Galaxy Watch series, the aim is to help women around the world to be able to track their menstrual cycle directly on their wrist and thus get a more holistic understanding of their health and well-being, according to Samsung. The new cycle tracking based on skin temperature will be available via the Samsung Health app on the Galaxy Watch5 and Watch5 Pro in 32 markets within the second quarter, including here in Germany, but also Austria, Belgium and more.
