The producer Luis de Llano was sentenced this Wednesday for moral damages to Sasha Sokol, through a sentence handed down by a court of the Superior Court of Justice of Mexico City, as the singer announced through her social networks.
“Today Luis de Llano was sentenced for non-material damage for violating my dignity, physical integrity, privacy and honor. With the evidence and witnesses it was proven that the relationship started by him, when I was 14 years old, was illegal and asymmetric for the difference in age and the hierarchical role he exercised,” Sokol wrote on his Twitter account.
In the details, it reveals that in the sentence it was considered that what De Llano declared in the media constituted an act of revictimization and, consequently, they ask him to apologize publicly, refrain from talking about what happened and pay compensation.
The interpreter of ‘La Última Vez’ reaffirmed that said compensation will be donated to a civil organization that defends victims of sexual abuse. She also emphasized the responsible action of the Court in the case.
“I recognize the responsible action and with a gender perspective of the court. I trust that its performance will be an example for other authorities; many cases of girls, boys and adolescents have not been tried and their rights continue to be violated.”
Sasha Sokol’s public complaint was released on March 8 of last year, within the framework of International Women’s Day, where she revealed that the producer abused her and they had a relationship when she was 14 and he was 39 years old.
The singer formally denounced him for non-pecuniary damage four months after publicizing her case, where she also demanded a public apology and compensation.
De Llano, for his part, pleaded not guilty to Sokol’s accusations before the media, he also mentioned that he was not willing to reach an agreement and that he would not apologize for anything, since he did nothing.
