A large fire in the Rocamora de Posadas neighborhood could be controlled in time by four fire crews, although at times several of the neighboring houses were at risk of being hit by the flames.

It happened this afternoon in a three-story building that is under construction on 58 A street, between Rocamora and Santa Catalina avenue.

The fire started due to a short circuit in the electrical system, according to the first tests, but it quickly advanced towards the entire structure. At one point, the flames seemed uncontrollable and caused a lot of concern in the inhabitants of the vicinity, which is why it was decided to intervene by four firefighters.

The work from that moment on was intense to stop the advance of the fire before it reached the other houses, mainly a wooden one that was very close. Finally it could be controlled and extinguished, which meant a relief for the nearest neighbors.

At the moment that part of the traditional neighborhood of Posada is without electricity and other services, such as telephone and internet, while the experts are still working on the scene together with the brigade members, confirming that the danger has been definitively deactivated.
