The streaming world is looking forward to Netflix’s Queen Cleopatra this week, a combination of drama series and documentary, for which Jada Pinkett Smith in particular is currently being criticized for possible “blackwashing”. Also seen are The Kangaroo Chronicles, Jennifer Lopez as a hitman in The Mother, and Emily Blunt and John Krasinski in A Quiet Place. Finally, Mulligan is Netflix’s new adult animated series themed on the rebuilding of America (and the world).
The list of highlights is a bit smaller for Amazon Prime Video and Disney+. Prime customers can look forward to Away From Life by and starring Robin Wright, the satirical tragedy Triangle of Sadness, starring Woody Harrelson, and the sci-fi drama Crimes of the Future, starring Viggo Mortensen and Kristen Stewart. In addition, Snowden can once again be seen as part of the film flat rate. The Mickey Mouse company also airs the miniseries Tiny Beautiful Things starring Kathryn Hahn, seven seasons of Crime Scene Cleaner and The Muppets Mayhem.
