Blizzard has officially revealed this week that the new story missions of Overwatch 2 they will not be included for free in the game. In her official blog, the developer confirmed that it will be necessary to pay to access Invasion, which brings three new missions that must be faced cooperatively.

According to the company, the new modality will cost US$ 15. By opting for this exclusive package, users will not only have access to the missions, but will also receive 1000 Overwatch Coins, a legendary skin for the character Sojourn and, in case they is not on the list of available characters yet, it will be unlocked.

“The Overwatch 2: Invasion offer is designed to give veterans and newcomers the opportunity to explore this new story arc and offer additional currencies to unlock the Premium Battle Pass or purchase cosmetic items for their favorite heroes,” Blizzard explains in its official website.

Overwatch 2 Invasion has a more expensive option

Those who want to guarantee access to the new story mode will also have the option of paying $40 for Ultimate Invasion. In addition to securing the items from the $15 version, it will also bring a premium battle pass with 20 tier skips, plus 1,000 Overwatch coins and legendary skins for Cassidy and Kiriko.

As Blizzard explains, the new Overwatch 2 mission pack will bring three additional adventures in Rio de Janeiro, Toronto and Ghutenburg, each with huge maps and complex objectives. According to the company, this will be the start of a story arc that will unfold in future updates to the game.
