A severe local storm hit Miami on Sunday night, causing a surprise power outage in several parts of downtown.
The incident was captured on video and posted on the Instagram profile Only in DadeThe short video shows residents’ confusion and surprise at the unexpected interruption of the power supply.
The Instagram post received numerous comments, including one user who briefly recalled what it feels like in Cuba when the power is turned off. “It was Cuban style during the special period,” he said jokingly.
