But she didn’t survive her last cosmetic surgery. Instagram model Christina Ashten Gourkani is dead, died at the age of 34.
“It is with deep sadness and an immensely heavy, broken heart that we must announce the devastating, unfortunate and unexpected death of our beautiful, beloved daughter and sister, Christina Ashten Gourkani,” her family wrote on her Instagram pagefollowed by 618,000 fans.

The 34-year-old was hospitalized last week. Supposedly to undergo another cosmetic surgery. Then, in the early hours of April 20, her family received a horrific phone call.
“A call that immediately rocked our world and will haunt our family for the rest of our lives,” the Gourkani family now writes on a donation pagewhere she collects money for Ashten’s funeral.
“On the other end of the line was a family member screaming in despair and crying hysterically… Ashten is dying… Ashten is dying…”

The family immediately rushed to the hospital and experienced a nightmare come true. “Because we learned that her health and well-being had continued to deteriorate after cardiac arrest.”

“Her sudden and tragic death is being investigated as a homicide related to a medical procedure that took a turn for the worse,” Ashten’s family said. No further details are given at this time.
“Anyone who knew Ashten knows that everyone was important to her. She was such a caring and loving free spirit who always took the time to put a smile on everyone’s face that crossed her path,” her family recalls with sadness.
“She was the kind of person who would kneel down to talk to children eye-to-eye. She sought out the lonely person in the corner and made them feel special. She had an incredible gift for connecting with people.”
With the words “Ashten’s spirit is a light that will shine on forever for her loved ones and those she left behind”, her family now bids farewell. “We hope there is a place in heaven where you can feel the depth of our sadness and the emptiness of our broken hearts without you in our lives.”
Christina Ashten Gourkani’s funeral is scheduled for May 4th.
