DSDS star Pia-Sophie Remmel follows in the footsteps of Beatrice Egli and makes hit music after the casting show. The meeting with her idol made a great impression on her.
Last year, Pia-Sophie Remmel (22) was able to fulfill a dream: she acted as a support act for hit princess Beatrice Egli (34). The two women share a lot in common: both became known thanks to “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, both sing hits, both convince the fans with a lot of talent and naturalness. Pia-Sophie took part in the RTL casting show in 2021 and took viewers’ hearts by storm. She ended up placing fifth, making her the season’s highest-ranked singer.
Since then things have been going uphill for the young musician. In December she performed at Florian Silbereisen’s (41) “Advent Festival of 100,000 Lights” in front of an audience of millions. A few days ago, Pia-Sophie also released her third single “Gib mir mehr”.
Of course, die-hard hit fans immediately notice the parallels with Beatrice Egli. The Swiss won the tenth DSDS season in 2013 and has been part of the pop elite ever since. No wonder Pia-Sophie looks up to the “My Heart” interpreter. “I followed her season at the time and she accomplished what I want to accomplish. She’s just a great role model for me,” enthuses Pia-Sophie in an interview Colorful.

Meeting Beatrice in person was an incredible moment. “She approached me so kindly and I was just totally flashed,” the young singer describes the scene behind the stage. Out of nervousness, she would have been at a loss for words. But Beatrice was so “normal and down-to-earth” that Pia-Sophie quickly got rid of her initial shyness.
“I thought it was so nice that she asked how I felt and, above all, that she spoke to me at eye level,” reveals the blonde. Beatrice also gave her a valuable tip along the way. “She said it was so incredibly important in the hit business to have strong women by your side. Strong women who always encourage you,” says Pia-Sophie. This is exactly the role Beatrice wants to take on for her. If that isn’t the beginning of a wonderful (Schlager) friendship…
