MIAMI.- The current Miss Universe, Sheynnis Palaciosy Alicia Machadowho held the title in 1996, starred in an epic encounter during the broadcast of the reality show Top Chef VIPwhere the queens of universal beauty shared their experiences in beauty pageants.
In the special episode of Thursday, July 18, the Nicaraguan model met the Venezuelan for the first time, and the rest of the contestants from the Imperio de Maldad team in La Cava.
It was at that moment that the queens shared a fraternal hug.
“It’s a dream (to be Miss Universe) and my life has changed forever,” Sheynnis told Machado. “To me, to my family, to all of Nicaragua because this was a light of hope and a moment of celebration for everyone and I have enjoyed it,” she commented.
After her words, the Venezuelan commented that the experience of the contest is an unparalleled opportunity.
“Wearing that crown and sash is an experience that changes your life forever.

Palacios’ visit included an emotional moment by Costa Rican actor Gary Centeno, who took the opportunity to present a typical Nicaraguan dish that is common in Central American cuisine.
Seeing the dish, Palacios shed a few tears as he remembered when he and his family sold them.
“My family and I made nacatamales and sold them to cover various basic needs. I also grew up with nacatamales because there is a very important tradition in my country that celebrates the patron saint of Nicaragua and we made nacatamales to give to the people who came to our celebration,” she commented.
“I have a lot of affection and love for nacatamales; in other cases they are tamales, hallacas and also banana leaves. But what really unites us is a synonym of warmth, love and family.”
