“It is a racist attack”, denounces this Saturday the Parisian deputy EELV, the day after the attack which left three dead and three injured among the Kurdish community and which led to the opening of an investigation. for assassinations, attempted assassinations, violence with a weapon, and violations of the legislation on weapons.
The suspect, a 69-year-old man of French nationality, himself claimed during his arrest a racist act. In this context, Julien Bayou deplores that in France, “part of the population” does not consider itself “as well protected as it should”.
“There have been racist attacks, the far right acts with complete impunity on social networks but also on the ground. We must remember that this is a racist attack, that the far right is thriving on the trivialization of racist discourse”, explains the MP at the microphone of BFMTV.

Julien Bayou calls for the expression of “solidarity with the Kurdish community and, beyond that, with all foreigners in this country”. “We must put a democratic stop to it. We must continue to dissolve the violent small groups”, he claims.
Several hundred people gathered this Saturday at Place de la République in Paris to pay tribute to the Kurdish victims of the attack on Rue d’Enghien. In the crowd, many demonstrators wave flags of the PKK (Kurdistan Workers’ Party) or the effigy of three Kurdish activists murdered in January 2013 in Paris. Others denounce an “injustice” and a “terrorist” and “political” act.
Received this Saturday morning by the prefect of police, Laurent Nunez, representatives of the Kurdish community regretted a “lack of security” at the scene of the shootings, whose security is “under the responsibility of the French authorities”.
