A shooting claimed the life of a man and left five injured at around 11:06 p.m. Friday in a ball park located in the Carmelita neighborhood in Vega Alta.
It was a call to 9-1-1 that alerted the authorities to some detonations and when the agents arrived, they found the body of Tedry Muriel Maldonado 46 years old, with bullet wounds, in circumstances that are under investigation.
Meanwhile, the injured were identified as Leslie Suarez Pagan 28 years old, Miosotis Corian Colon 45 years old, Yolimar Sierra Molina 36 years old, Carlos Lastra Rios of 25 years and a minor of 5 years.
The condition of the injured is unknown at this time.
Agents of the Puerto Rico Police Bureau, attached to the Homicide Division of the Vega Baja Criminal Investigation Corps, together with the prosecutor on duty, are investigating these facts.
