Signify has successfully provided integrated road lighting solutions for Huanggang City, Hubei Province, including BrightSites smart light poles, Philips LED street lights and Interact smart interconnected lighting systems. The project will help Huanggang City reduce energy consumption and operating costs, while laying the foundation for the digital transformation of the city’s infrastructure.

In this project, Huanggang Industrial Park and Jinmei Avenue adopted BrightSites smart light poles and high-efficiency and energy-saving Philips LED street lights, and connected to the Interact intelligent interconnected lighting system. In addition to providing high-quality LED lighting, the integrated road lighting solution can also realize two-way communication on the cloud platform. The operation team can remotely realize the fine-grained intelligent regulation and management of street lights through the management platform, timely handle operation and maintenance needs, and further reduce lighting energy consumption and operating costs.

BrightSites smart light poles integrate security cameras, sensors, Wi-Fi and other equipment, which can collect various data and information on city operations and transmit them remotely to the platform for analysis. Based on the control system, city managers can make more informed decisions in terms of urban planning, urban security and traffic management, providing a model for the construction of smart cities in the future. The LED display integrated on the smart light pole can provide citizens with information, such as date, weather forecast, real-time temperature and city information, etc.

City operators promote the transformation of traditional lighting to LED lighting, which can save up to 50% of energy consumption.
