Mexico City, May 15 (EFE).- The artist of Puerto Rican origin Justin Quiles announced this Monday in Mexico, where he will tour in October, that he is interested in doing a corrido lying down with a Mexican artist.

“I think so (I will do a corrido lying down), look. I like what Junior H is doing. I also like Natanael Cano. I am looking for my next collaboration with Mexican artists, I would like to swim in those waters, ”he recounted at a press conference, referring to two of the greatest representatives of the genre.

In addition, he said that he has also spoken with Peso Pluma, interpreter of “Ella baila sola” together with Eslabón Armado, a song that is at number 1 on Spotify’s “global top”, and also number 3 “La Bebe” with Yng Lvcas.

Regarding Yng Lvcas, he said that they have already recorded a song together that will be out soon and that, he said, contains Mexican slang, something that the singer-songwriter values positively, as it preserves the identity of the artist from the Mexican city of Guadalajara.

“It is very important (to keep each jargon) because that is the identity of the artist, each artist has to use their verbiage, their jargon. It sounds like reggaeton but from here, ”said the artist, who already has more than eight years of career behind him.

“When things have their identity they will work,” he continued.

And it is precisely this, that “strains” come out of other countries, he considered, what will make reggaeton continue to grow.

“My diagnosis is that hearts continue to beat, the genre continues to grow and has not stagnated,” he explained, and recalled that “La Bebe” is the first Mexican reggaeton song to be successful internationally.

“Reggaeton will continue as long as new generations follow. It will continue to work, ”she said.

Likewise, the native of the United States said he was enthusiastic about his three concerts in Mexico in October, because he loves the fervor of the Mexican public, something he was able to see on Sunday at a Carin León concert in which he was able to participate.

“Mexicans always have a good face and they love rumba,” he narrated.

Quiles has written some of the biggest hits like “Bichota” by Karol G, “Saoko” by Rosalía, “Mamiii” with Becky G and Karol G, “La Ola” by Daddy Yankee, “Las Nenas” with Natti Natasha, Cazzu, Farina, La Duraca and “Loco Contigo” by DJ Snake, J Balvin and Tyga, among others.

Quiles explained that he started making songs “for the men of the genre” like J Balvin or Don Omar, but later he wrote with Nati Natasha, “a lot” with Karol G and also for Rosalía.

“Now I write more for women than for men. It is my passion, songwriting is passionate about me, ”she finished.
