The two boys escaped on their own by climbing over a fence, according to Expressen. The 15-year-old is suspected of a shooting in Gubbängen in southern Stockholm in December and the 14-year-old for a shooting in Fruängen in January.

The escape took place just days after a 17-year-old convicted of murder exemption by masked perpetrators in Södertälje during a transport between their Sis home and a dentist appointment.

According to Christer Johansson, Sis has historically had problems with security, something that is now being worked on.

– We have come a very good way. We will investigate what happened at this home, but we have taken many steps to prevent this from happening. We have Sis homes that can handle a high level of security, he says.

Hope for fewer escapes

Despite the recent escapes, Christer Johansson describes the business as robust.

– We manage upwards of 1,000 people, we have a large business that runs every day, all year round and around the clock. We have those that require very high security and we handle them.

SVT: Will we see more escapes in the future?

– I really hope that it will decrease and we also see that they decrease, especially within our LSU assignment. Three years ago we had 26 who escaped from us, this year no one escaped who is sentenced with us. Last year I think there were two.
