Six, set: Abitur exams in NRW postponed after download breakdown

A download glitch ensures that the Abitur in NRW cannot be carried out as planned. On the eve of the exams, numerous exams were postponed by two days. Here, however, the planned rail strike could lead to further problems.

Schools normally have the opportunity to download the centrally set Abitur tasks from 12 noon the day before. The exams then have to be copied and distributed to the teachers. The problems mainly affect STEM subjects. All written exams in biology, chemistry, nutrition, computer science, physics and technology will therefore not take place tomorrow as planned, but on Friday. The majority of high school graduates should have prepared extensively for the exams and were not exactly happy about the postponement the night before. It is still unclear what caused the “massive technical problem” and prevented the download.

Possible warning strike on Friday

On the replacement date, a nationwide warning strike could cause further difficulties. The EVG is apparently planning to paralyze rail traffic in Germany.
