There are two pets Activision Blizzard that were very loved many years ago but have been forgotten in recent generations: Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon. While Crash already had his triumphant return a few years ago, Spyro still doesn’t have a new game, but everything seems to point to a new adventure for the purple dragon in 2023.

The last of Spyro we saw was the release of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy from Toys For Bob, which was released in 2018 and is a remake of Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Since then nothing else has been announced but everything seems to indicate that this year things could change.

This week the official Toys For Bob account on Twitter shared an image celebrating that we are already in 2023, where it shows some images, logos and messages about what awaits us for this year. In the upper left corner of the image we see the purple dragon Spyro flying next to a balloon celebrating his 25th anniversary.

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the release of the first Spyro the Dragon game, so Toys For Bob may be preparing to release a new game to commemorate the date. The exact date will be in September, but we will surely see an announcement from before, although it is not known if it will be for a new game or another series of remakes.

The remakes included in the Spyro Reignited Trilogy were well received by its fans and many hope that Toys For Bob will also make remakes of The Legend of Spyro trilogy, but there are those who prefer that the team deliver a new game where they apply all their Foregrounds to date, just as they did with Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s about time.
