Ubisoft’s long-announced pirate game Skull and Bones was recently postponed. And the not for the first time. This time there is not even an exact release date. The title will “sometime after April 1st” to appear. The game was originally scheduled to release for PC and consoles in March. To make matters worse, there is also bad news for pre-orders of the title.
Skull and Bones: Pre-orders will be refunded
Some pre-orders of Skull and Bones (buy now ) were recently amazed to get a refund for the game. These are buyers of PS5 version of the title. Like users on Twitter and Reddit reported, Sony appears to have started accepting pre-orders for the game automatic refunds to grant. In the meantime, the purchase of the game in the Playstation Store is no longer possible. You can currently only add the title to your wish list. Also, there doesn’t seem to be a separate page for the deluxe edition of the game either.
Of course, given that the game’s release has been delayed to an as-yet-unknown date, pre-order refunds aren’t exactly an uncommon occurrence. Nevertheless, those affected are amazed that they did not receive any announcement from Sony in advance.
Ubisoft recently announced that Skull and Bones will be released sometime in fiscal year 2023-24, which runs from April this year to March next year.
