From April 20th to 23rd is in the Dortmund exhibition center again Intermodellbau: According to the organizers, the world’s largest trade fair for model building and model sports is just as much a place for fans of flying, floating, moving or rail-based models as for fans of clip-on and plug-in building blocks. Hundreds of exhibitors from a wide range of nations are expected, covering all the techniques and professions that inspire model building fans, from traditional H0 model railways to 3D printers.

Whether aircraft, railway, ship, car, functional or cardboard model construction – there is something for every taste and for the whole family. A special highlight of the Intermodellbau: Die LEGO fan exhibition in Hall 7 presents the best self-created models from the community. And after the experiences from the past few years before the Corona forced break and at Intermodellbau 2021, the visit is also worthwhile for makers who are not model builders, because at the Intermodellbau there are also technical trends to be discovered and precise craftsmanship to be admired.

In addition to exhibitions, display systems and dioramas, there are of course thousands of models on display, and they are also in action: a highlight at this year’s Intermodellbau promise they live demonstrations to become, such as the air shows or the robot exhibition fights German Roboteer Association e.V.
