For more rockers or metalheads than many feel, there is something that no one who was born in Mexico can deny: cumbia is part of the soundtrack of our country. In recent years, this genre has gained more ground, thanks to groups that refuse to let the dance die. and for that, we have Sonido Gallo Negro.
For a long time, this band originally from CDMX became one of the most interesting projects within the chilango music scene, thanks to its raffle mix of cumbia with other amazing sounds such as psychedelia, folkloric rhythms and more. Although yes, as usually happens with any group, Sound Gallo Negro has been in constant evolution.

In 2022, Sonido Gallo Negro presented us Paganismhis sixth record material, where they collaborated with artists such as Grupo Kual, Sylvie Henry, Ernesto Mendoza and Molly Lewis. However, although the result is an incredible album that, even if you don’t want to, makes you move your foot and dance from beginning to end, the group decided to take all these songs to the next level.
That is why this 2023 they present us with the deluxe version of their most recent studio album. And you may be wondering what is different from the traditional version. Well, this time, Sound Gallo Negro reinvents his own songs giving them a more “alive” and different touch to these great songs ideal to take out the forbidden steps and enjoy on the track.
