In the summer, RB Leipzig loaned out their striker Alexander Sörloth to Real Sociedad – for the second time, the Bundesliga club and the La Liga representative agreed on a temporary commitment. After a solid previous season, things are going even better for Sörloth and his loan club this time.

The 27-year-old center forward has already scored 13 goals in 28 competitive games. It is logical that people in the Basque Country are thinking about a long-term cooperation with Sörloth. The currently agreed loan ends in the summer, there is no purchase clause.

How expensive will Sörloth be?

They would still like to keep the Norwegian. As the newspaper ‘El Diario Vasco’ reports, the third-placed player wants to buy the left-footed player. There are no concrete negotiations yet, and just as little is known about Leipzig’s price expectations.

In the previous loan deal, a purchase option of 16 million euros had been negotiated. RB himself had once paid 20 million euros. The contract with the Saxons runs until 2025. A future in Leipzig seems much more unlikely than one in the Basque Country.
