FC Schalke are stepping up efforts to get Darko Churlinov (22) back. According to ‘Sky’, a meeting with the player, coach Thomas Reis and sporting director Peter Knäbel took place yesterday, Sunday.

Churlinov is ready to come even in case of relegation. Positive talks are also underway with Burnley FC. Schalke are aiming for a loan including an obligation to buy. There are also final salary details to be clarified. Churlinov’s contract at Burnley runs until 2026.
The offensive player is hardly ever used in the English second division team, Churlinov only played once in the league in 2023. His season on loan at Schalke was more successful: the right-footed player contributed eight points (two goals, six assists) to promotion last season.
