Thirty years later Return of the Jedi (and ten years after the end of the prequel), lightsabers are returning to theaters in 2015 with a new trilogy launched by The force awakens, the plot of which also picks up 30 years after Episode VI. In the film directed by JJ Abrams, a new trio formed by Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), and Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) makes its appearance.
