George Lucas’ original trilogy concludes this Monday, January 30, 2023 with Return of the Jedi, airing on TMC at 9:25 p.m. Held despite any cult of Princess Leia, the bikini that her interpreter Carrie Fisher wears at the beginning was a source of problems for her.

Thirty years later Return of the Jedi (and ten years after the end of the prequel), lightsabers are returning to theaters in 2015 with a new trilogy launched by The force awakens, the plot of which also picks up 30 years after Episode VI. In the film directed by JJ Abrams, a new trio formed by Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), and Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) makes its appearance. Just before the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force AwakensDisney has also decided to no longer market the products of Princess Leia in a bikini in order to better correspond to one of the key characters of the trilogy, back in this new opus.
