Star Wars – The Clone Wars it’s a title cooperativebased on the well-known Pandemic game engine (here you can find the review of the latest version, Pandemic: red zone) adapted for the iconic setting Of Star Wars. Specifically the events take place during the wars of the gods clonesalready seen in Episode 2 and deepened in the homonymous series.

Players will play knights Jedi who must stop the advance of the droids on the different planets that make up the board: they will therefore have to move from one world to another by taking down the invaders and at the same time trying to carry out a series of missions. Each match is also characterized by the presence of a evil: these will be managed automatically by the game through a series of action cards, moving between planets and facing the Jedi knights.
It might be beatenbut not in a way definitive until the missions have been completed: only then will the grand finale be reached! The villain discovers his shady plans and must be faced one last time, in a much more version powerful compared to the one already seen during the game.
A Masters Adaptation (Jedi)
The adaptation of the game is truly well donefrom all points of view. The part graphics is well adhered to the iconography known to fans, i personages chosen are among the most loved and famous and also the wicked they have been chosen with great care. All characters (good or evil) have ability specials that somehow reflect the characteristics of the characters in the official works. The basic mechanism of the engine original of the game (the spread of a disease) fits well with the idea of uncontrolled Droid invasions and gives the right sense of anxiety which keeps concentration high during the game.

Star Wars – The Clone Wars it’s a nice adaptation of the Pandemic regulation on a setting that is certainly among the most solid in the global cinematographic panorama. The union of the two elements created a Good game where the elements of cooperation are really essential and where the longevity it is guaranteed by the variety of the material and by the possibility of defining the level of difficulty. It can not be missing in the collections of at least three types of passionate: Star Wars lovers, Pandemic fans and cooperative game enthusiasts.
Materials
The overall quality of the material is very high. All the graphics are taken care of and faithfully reproduce the themes, colors and iconography of the setting. The thumbnails they are well done and detailed; in particular the drones are small in size but well detailed and the three models different.
The only fly in the ointment is perhaps the manual: well printed, paginated and with remarkable graphics, however it has some passages not very clear, leaving room for some doubts. Great care has also been taken to highlight the differences compared to the base game Pandemic, in order to facilitate players who already know the original title.
Game suitable for…
A game cooperative with a Star Wars setting, based on Pandemic has a large but well-selected audience of target players. It’s definitely not a game for newbies, but it doesn’t have enough complexity to appeal only to experts. Already having knowledge of Pandemic is a condition facilitatingbut absolutely not necessary.
