To have something star Wars and Harry Potter currently together? With the triple A titles Hogwarts legacy and Star Wars: Jedi Survivor both franchises open the new gaming year. While the role-playing game in the Harry Potter universe had an extremely successful start on PC, Playstation 5 and Xbox, despite the controversy surrounding author JK Rowling, Jedi Survivor will only be released on April 28, 2023. But there is also a far less pleasant common ground at the moment: both the star saga and the Wizarding World are currently idle in the cinema.
Harry Potter and Star Wars: When will there be new films?
In the case of Harry Potter, after disappointing Fantastic Beasts, the question is how will we see the world of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice again on the big screen. A film adaptation of the play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child with the old actors would be conceivable. But a complete reboot is also up for discussion.
Disney is already a step further. after himself Solo: A Star Wars Story flopped and Star Wars – Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker did not really appeal to the fans, no more cinema films have been released since 2019. Star Wars: New Movies Apparently Being Announced Soon
If current reports are to be believed, they will be on time for this year’s Star Wars Celebration 2023 concrete information about the new Star Wars films revealed. The event will take place this year from April 7th to 10th in London instead, some tickets are already available sold out.
Which projects will be announced specifically is currently still in the stars. Most likely there will be information about “Episode 10”, a film penned by Damon Lindelof (Star Trek, Watchmen) directed by Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy (Ms. Marvel). But the projects of Episode 8 director Rian Johnson (Knives Out, Galls Onion) and Taika Waititi (Thor: Ragnarok) are apparently still in development. Whether the planned feature film called Rogue Squadron by Wonder Woman director PattyJenkins still has a future will probably also be at the latest at the Star Wars Celebration 2023 show.
