Since many have become “The Mandalorian” fans due to the Baby Yoda hype on social networks without otherwise dealing with “Star Wars”, the trailer has some potential for irritation. In fact, Grogu is shown there alongside Din Djarin as a matter of course, which shouldn’t be possible at all. Or? The answer can be found in a Star Wars series that aired between The Mandalorian Season 2 and now Season 3: The Book of Boba Fett.

This mini-series, which premiered on Disney+ in 2021, was a sequel to previous seasons of The Mandalorian and continued the story of bounty hunter Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison). However, she also did more than that: Din Djarin also appeared in the series, as well as Luke Skywalker and Grogu. The Jedi Master gave his little green student a choice: will he become a Jedi and complete his training, or return to his most important caregiver?

In the finale of “The Book of Boba Fett” the two fan favorites reunited. For fans who haven’t noticed this before, there could be an ugly gap within the “The Mandalorian” series. Maybe it would have been better from Disney “The Book of Boba Fett” not as a standalone series, but as “Season 2.5” to apply. Either way: Fortunately, the two characters can be seen side by side again, because without Baby Yoda “The Mandalorian” is only half as good.

The Mandalorian Season 3 arrives weekly on Disney+ with a new episode starting March 1st.
