Legendary director Steven Spielberg reveals that he wants to be involved in more TV projects and says that one day he will “direct a long-form series”. The director, who received much praise for his latest film The Fabelmans, has worked on TV series in the past such as the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers, but he has never personally directed an entire series in his long career.

It’s in an episode of the Smartless Podcast (via Variety) as Spielberg announces this, and also says that he would gladly have taken care of Mare of Easttown if it had been offered to him.

He also came close to turning his 2012 Academy Award winner Lincoln into a six-hour show, but later decided to turn the production into a film instead. Would you like to see a Steven Spielberg-directed TV series? What kind of story do you think would suit the legendary director best?
