The oldest will remember that in 1997 a video game called Street Fightertoday a fighting classic and one of Capcom’s most treasured franchises, especially since the sequel Street Fighter II came out in 1991. In the series, we saw Chun-Li, the inspiration of a Chilean cosplayer.

The second game generated a true revolution and the boom in fighting video games in entertainment rooms. Although it started with its own Arcade, it later made the leap to different consoles, such as the Super Nintendo, Atari ST, among others.

As fans of this saga well remember, Street Fighter II featured a cast of eight player-selectable characters, including Ryu and Ken, the main fighters from the first game, and Chun-Li, the first female Street Fighter.

On this occasion, it was the cosplayer Clau Ballerina who was inspired by Street Fighter to cosplay three different versions of Chun-Liaccording to the report published on the website of event hubs.

Chun-Li’s top three cosplays

The first special version of Bailarinita is about a “chun-li training”, based on a fan art. The fan design obviously takes inspiration from Chun’s Street Fighter Alpha days, though the model wears an almost sports bra made to look like her vest and has her hair loose in braids from the buns.

The Chilean cosplayer also embodied the version of Street Fighter Alpha complete, using Chunner’s design from those games as well. She even wears the outfit in slightly different ways, one being more accurate to the game and the other showing a bit more skin.

Finally, there’s the most impressive variant of Chun-Li’s Little Dancer Clau: in her training suit of Street Fighter 5. She has the unique design of the dress, which can be quite revealing, as well as the gloves and leg armor.

The cosplayer makes a few cosmetic changes: instead of Chun’s hair tied up in white bows, she uses golden hair ties, long in the back, which arguably looks even better than the original.
