Super73a California-based electric bike brand, unveiled its first all-electric motorcycle concept in March 2022, called C1X. Although it was labeled as a concept, Super73 stated that they had every intention of producing it. A year later, in April 2023, the C1X is well on its way to launch, with some minor feats on paper.

C1X: 160 km range, from 10 to 80% charge in 15 minutes

The C1X motorcycle is designed to achieve a top speed of more than 120 km/h. Its 129.5cm wheelbase makes it larger than a Honda Grom, but compact enough to be easily manoeuvrable. Although Super73 has yet to release any motor or battery details for the C1X, the company is aiming a range of 160 km on a single charge.

But where the C1X shines is thanks to its fast charging technology. The company said fast charging capability was one of the company’s top concerns, and according to the company’s calculations, the C1X can charge from 10% to 80% of a full battery in just 15 minutesgiving riders around 112 km of additional range.

The first motorcycles are expected to roll out to customers sometime in 2024, following a full year of further development in 2023. Reservations for the C1X are currently open on the Super73 website for 73 €.

Super73’s C1X is one of many electric vehicles designed to offer a sustainable alternative to traditional modes of transportation — with its fast-charging capability and 100-mile range, it’s likely to offer a handy option for the daily commute in town and occasional walks. Its price, however, remains unknown.
