Superman: Legacy |  James Gunn celebrates Jimmy Olsen and Eve Teschmacher announcements

Director and screenwriter of Superman: Legacy, James Gunn celebrated the confirmations of Skyler Gisondo (Santa Clarita Diet) e Sara Sampaio (At Midnight) as Jimmy Olsen and Eve Teschmacher, respectively.

Olsen is a photographer for the Daily Planet and a great friend of Clark Kent, while Teschmacher works as an assistant to the villain Lex Luthor.

“After auditioning hundreds of people for these two roles, we finally found perfect fits with Skyler Gisondo and Sara Sampaio! I can’t wait for you to see them in action in summer ’25!”

declared in a publication in Instagram.

Curiously, Nicholas Hoult, chosen to give life to the iconic Man of Steel villain, has not yet been mentioned. Everything indicates that the signing of the contract will only happen in the next few weeks.

Filming will begin between March and April next year.

David Corenswet (Our City) and Rachel Brosnahan (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) are set in the main roles.

The main cast will also bring Nicholas Hoult (O Menu) como Lex Luthor, Nathan Fillion (The Rookie) como Guy Gardner, Isabela Merced (Family Justice) as Hawkgirl, Eddie Gathegi (X-Men: First Class) as Mister Terrific, Anthony Carrigan (Barry) as Shapeshifter, and Mara Gabriela De Fara (Deadly Class) as The Engineer.

Superman: Legacy have direction and script James Gunn (Guardians of the Galaxy, The Suicide Squad), and is scheduled for July 11, 2025.

According to the official description, the film will focus on the hero trying to balance his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing. He is the embodiment of truth, justice and the American way. He’s kindness in a world that thinks it’s old-fashioned.
