O Meta’s CTO, Andrew Bosworth, gave an interview to Nikkei website where he stated that suspending the development of Artificial Intelligence is “unrealistic”.

Bosworth’s response comes after an open letter was shared in which experts and well-known personalities from the world of technology – such as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak and Tesla leader Elon Musk – called for advances in AI to be suspended in a way necessary regulations to be created.

“I think it’s very important to invest in responsible development and we make that kind of investment all the time. However, it is very difficult to stop progress and make the right decisions about what changes can be made.”noted Bosworth. “You often have to understand how technology evolves before you know how to protect and make it secure. So I don’t think it’s unrealistic, but I also don’t think it would be effective.”.
