CDMX.- The president of the National Electoral Institute (INE), Guadalupe Taddei, proposes Flavio Cienfuegos as Executive Secretary of the organization, who has criminal and administrative complaints for alleged improper exercise of his position during his time at the IMSS.

A few days ago, the official presented her proposals to the 10 directors, both for the Executive Secretary and for all directorates, so that they could analyze and discuss them.

According to INE sources, the Sonoran warned that it seeks to change the heads of all areas, although it needs eight of the 11 votes of the General Council.

The proposal that worries the most is that of Cienfuegos, as he is a character close to Raquel Buenrostro, now the Secretary of the Economy, and the group in power, and who for a few weeks has been Head of the Taddei Office.

From that position, they say, he began to decide on administrative issues.

In addition, they affirm, he influenced Alejandro Sosa to remain as chief adviser to the office manager of the Executive Secretariat, Miguel Ángel Patiño.

Cienfuegos graduated from the School of Government and Public Transformation of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, where he studied for a master’s degree and a doctorate. Close officials assure that he was director of Administration of the ISSSTE, at the end of 2018, and in the IMSS he had that same position, in 2019, at the proposal of the former Secretary of Finance, Carlos Urzúa.

The then director of the IMSS, Germán Martínez, denounced him before the Secretariat of Public Function, the Superior Audit of the Federation and the Attorney General of the Republic for omission and improper exercise of his functions, since he was dedicated to carrying out projects other than those that the Technical Council of the organization requested, but the complaints never prospered.

He was in the National Registry of Population and Personal Identification and in the Federal Registry of Voters, where, it is claimed, he met Taddei, who in 2017 hired him as an advisor at the Sonora Electoral Institute, which she presided over.
