Valentín “Taty” Castellano, the Argentine striker who scored four goals against Real Madrid with Girona in the Spanish LaLiga, confessed that his dream is “to be able to meet Lionel Messi and coincide with him in the national team.”

After his historic performance with a “poker” of goals against Real Madrid, the man from Mendoza made known his fanaticism for the captain of the Argentine national team, with whom he regretted “never” meeting.

“I dream of meeting him. He is the God of soccer. He made me cry at the World Cup. I am passionate about Messi,” the former New York City admitted in an interview with Spanish journalist Gerard Romero on Twitch.

The 24-year-old striker was part of the Argentine U-23 team in 2020 and acknowledged that his other desire is to be called up by Lionel Scaloni: “It would be a dream, but I am going step by step. I know how difficult it is because we are the World Champions and there are incredible players in my position”, he remarked.

Although he never played in Argentine soccer, “Taty” loves Argentina and has tattoos with a lot of symbolism: one of Diego Armando Maradona and he thinks about getting one of Messi in the future.
