Tecno Phantom V Fold has official announcement date revealed and will come with the Dimensity 9000 Plus chipset

A techno confirmed this Monday (6) that his concept of a foldable smartphone with a sliding screen, the Phantom V Fold, will be announced to the public at an event called MWC 2023, scheduled to take place the next day February 28th.

The announcement date had previously leaked and now the manufacturer confirms the information. The company also disclosed that this will be the first foldable cell phone in the world to be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus platform.

The company also promised to set a new standard for the premium experience with new performance features. Further details about the device were not revealed by Tecno at this time, remaining for the day of the presentation.

The Phantom V Fold should have a hinge mechanism very similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. One previously leaked video shows that the device has a large circular module to house the camera with three sensors and the LED flash.

It was also possible to notice that the folding display will bring a camera in a hole and there is another front sensor on the outside. Information about the device is still very scarce, so we will have to wait for the launch at the end of the month.

MySmartPrice obtained real images of the Tecno Phantom V Fold, the company’s first foldable cell phone, revealing its front display and camera module layout, as well as its launch date.

According to an article by MySmartPrice in partnership with informant Paras Guglani, the Tecno Phantom V Fold will be launched in several markets later this month. The official announcement must take place in February 28thbut it was not revealed which countries will receive the cell phone.

Recently, Tecno entered the premium cell phone market with the launch of the Tecno Phamtom X2 line. So it won’t be surprising that it brings the Phantom V Fold to compete in the foldable segment.
