According to information released through a official statementthe television network stated that after an in-depth analysis of the existing concerns and a very close work with the local authorities, they concluded that the artist was not part of the event.
The statement adds that this decision is made under the commitment to prioritize the safety and well-being of all the people who are part of and attend the awards.
After the decision Tekashi and Yailin also issued a release in which they explained the possible efforts they made to be able to participate and expressed their feelings for not being able to please their fans.
