  • A woman from Essen has at the 3 million euro show from “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” played along.
  • she has 64,000 euros won.
  • Participating in the quiz was one for her exciting experience.

Taking part in the RTL quiz show “Who wants to be a millionaire” was a positive experience for Barbara Erlebach from Essen-Bergerhausen – even if it was ultimately enough to take part in the final, but not the hoped-for prize of three million euros.

In the end, the former stewardess was 64,000 euros richer. She wants to put the money into a circumnavigation. The 56-year-old only applied once and initially brushed off a call from the editors. “I didn’t know the number and was just stressed,” she says. At home, she became suspicious of the Cologne number and feared that she had missed the chance to take part in the show. “Then, fortunately, the lady called me again and asked a few questions.”

That they are in the 3-million-euro week, a special edition of the show that you can now can stream on RTL+, landed was a coincidence. She was seen on three evenings in total: her appearance at the end of an episode was continued the next day and with the prize of 64,000 euros she qualified for the final. She made it onto the council chair with a question about British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, which she answered the fastest of all the candidates.

Participating in “Who wants to be a millionaire” was a good experience for the Essen native

“Participation was incredibly fun, the team was really nice and moderator Günther Jauch is actually the way he looks on the screen,” says Barbara Erlebach. She had a great time in Cologne with her son, who came all the way from Munich to accompany her.

The look behind the scenes of a television production was exciting. Everything in the studio is very routine and professional. Being professionally made up in the mask for the performance was another interesting experience. You have to bring several outfits with you, and the team then decides what is suitable for the performance.

The Bergerhauserin is no longer surprised that many candidates who make it onto the chair first reach for the glass of water provided before the first question. “You’ve been sitting in the warm studio for several hours and your mouth is simply dry.” Your decision to get out with 64,000 euros was exactly the right one. “Everything went wonderfully.”
