The Attack of the Giants (Attack on Titan) continues to be successful worldwide, attracting more and more fans. Waiting for the end of the anime, which will happen very soon, Hajime Isayama (author and manga artist) wanted to tease the fans with the idea of a possible Levi spinoff, one of the most beloved characters by fans. I have something in mind about Levi, but at the same time I don’t know if I will be able to write about it. In my mind I imagined a possible story for him, but there is a lot of time between conceiving and writing it. And writing a manga has become a very difficult task for me.
Levi Ackerman, also known as Captain Levi, is the captain of the Special Operations Squad within the Reconnaissance Army and is rumored to be humanity’s strongest soldier. His physical and behavioral characteristics have made him one of the most popular characters in the anime since the first season. The attack of the Giants it’s a manga shonen horror, fantasy and action genres. In Japan the manga has been published (monthly) since September 2009 from Kodansha in the magazine Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine until April 2021. The work consists of 139 and 34 total volumes. In Italy, the manga is published entirely by Planet Manga with 34 volumes available.
The manga inspired an animated series that ran for three seasons: the first in 2013, consisting of 25 episodes; the second in 2017 with 12 episodes; the third season with 22 episodes. The episodes can be viewed for free at VVVVID (Dynit). The fourth anime series, the last one, was broadcast between December 2020 and March 2021 with 16 episodes. The second part premiered on January 9, 2022 and ended on April 3 with 12 episodes and is available to watch with Italian subtitles on Cruchyroll. The third part of the final season will be divided into two quarters and the first will start on March 4th.
