The other week, Advance Wars 1+2 Reboot Camp was released for Switch and enjoyed at least mostly good reviews (read our review here). With this release, the thought has probably once again struck many that Nintendo should make more of its old IPs, and in a new interview with the Game Director of said game, James Montagna, he talks about which games he thought would be fun to revive in some form.

Montagna mentions that he would love to work on a new Chibi-Robo!, Rhythm Heaven, Wario Ware or, most of all – a Kuru Kuru Kururin. Originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, at a time when Nintendo was fully committed to making games as tricky as possible (Odama and Doshin the Giant, anyone?), Kuru Kuru Kururin was about a spinner of sorts who had to make their way through tricky, maze-like courses. It received generally good reviews, but the game’s two sequels were never released outside of Japan.

Should you have missed Kuru Kuru Kururin in the first round, but are keen to test what it’s all about, then just run it through Nintendo Switch Online, where it is available through the Game Boy Advance service.

Would you like to see a new Kuru Kuru Kururin?
